Working Principle

How this spring type works.

Angular movement between the spring legs winds or unwinds the coil. This creates bending stress in the wire and a restoring torque proportional to angular deflection within the designed working range.

Key Features

Design characteristics.

  • Controlled torque at specified installation angles
  • Custom leg lengths, bends, and orientation
  • Single-body, double-torsion, and application-specific forms
  • Compact rotational return or holding force

Common Applications

Typical use cases.

  • Hinges, covers, doors, and return levers
  • Automotive steering and latch mechanisms
  • Switches, clamps, and actuator assemblies
  • Consumer products, tools, and industrial controls
